What is combat xp (combat experience)?

Combat experience is a fairly straightforward stat to figure out. The most well known 'feature' of combat experience is that it affects how much you've mastered weapons when you initially pick them up. Having a higher combat experience will cause you to have a better grasp at fighting in general, and you will have a much easier time training your weapons fully.
Combat experience is gained after every fight you have with a monster.
